Manifesto Extra Credit

For up to 50 extra credit points, create your manifesto and an argument about how you as a theatre artist articulate it. 2 full pages (at least). MLA style, yada yada yada…

1. Come up with your statement of truth. Do this early. Take several weeks and journal about it. This is difficult stuff. In the paper tell me what it is (be specific), how you came to discover it, how you came to believe it.

2. Defend it. If you can’t be passionate about it, you can’t do #3.

3. Then tell me HOW you would, as a theatre artist, articulate it. Pretend you have been assigned a 10 minute performance. What would you do to show us what you believe? Explain what your 10 minutes would be like. Tell me why you would choose that particular method? How does that particular performance piece/method articulate your truth? Really? Prove it….
