  • Faurecia Interior Systems

    Process Engineering Intern

    Developed a scrap management system by designing a scrap area and also developing a scrap management software system. This resulted in scrap reduction of 30%.


Research

Over the years, I have worked with BMW, GE Healthcare, Michelin, Milliken, Bicycle Corporation of America, ZF Transmissions, and Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) on sponsored research projects.

My research interests are:

  • Analysis and standardization of production processes using information centric approaches, including sensor-based reasoning and machine learning

  • Application of data mining and artificial intelligence approaches to couple engineering design and manufacturing

  • Impact of manufacturing knowledge on engineering creativity

  • Use of data (learning) analytics to assess and improve engineering education
