Here are some pictures of Dr. Barbeau, Dr. Pryor, and our undergraduate researchers from the Spring 2006 semester.

This is another picture of a drift fence being installed.

Stephanie, Katie, Jody, and Dr. Pryor installing a fence.

Katie and Jody installing PVC pipes in the ground and on trees. Watch out for these ladies -- they know how to handle a sledge hammer and power tools!

Stephanie (foreground) and Dr. Barbeau (background) digging holes for the pitfall traps.

Dr. Pryor cutting pine roots to install pitfall traps.

Dr. Pryor investigating a temporary pond where Southern toads (Bufo terrestris) and Southern Leopard frogs (Rana utricularia) were breeding.

Here is an example of a temporary pond next to one of the drift fences. These ponds are ideal for amphibians to breed in because they typically lack fish predators that would eat frog eggs.

Eggs strings deposited in the temporary pond by Southern toads (Bufo terrestris) during March 2006.
