Fall 2014 Club Activities and Meetings

Announcements:
1. Club dues ($10) are due by the end of October, 2014. Please contact me (Dr. Barbeau) about how to submit your dues.

2. We need ideas for a Club logo! We also need ideas for a Club T-shirt, for possible T-shirt sales next semester.

Submit your ideas to any of the club officers. We will vote on which Club logo and T-shirt design we like best at our Nov 13th final meeting of the semester.

3. Advising and pre-registration starts on Oct 20th.
Make sure and sign up for an advising session! Your registration screen opens up depending on your academic year. Seniors, honor students, and athletes screen opens Oct 22-23, Juniors on Oct 24 & 27, Sophomores on Oct 28-29, and Freshmen on Oct 30-31. Before you meet with your advisor make sure you don't have any "holds" on your registration - such as an upaid fine, missing immunization records, or other holds. You can't register with a hold on your screen.

Fall 2014 Activities:
1. We are holding a club fundraising bake sale in the Fine Arts Breezeway on Monday Oct 27th. (Times to be posted soon!)
We need volunteers to assist at the tables. Please contact the Club Secretary, Jessica Mayo (see email link above) to sign up for spots. We also need volunteers to bake treats for the bake sale. Items for the bake sale should be brought in as individually wrapped items (wrapped in saran wrap or other wrapping) for sale.

2. We are having a Supply Drive for the Florence Area Human Society (FAHS)!
Donation boxes will be placed in departments around FMU campus for people to drop off items from FAHS's "wish list" (see link for PDF below). We need to post flyers around campus at least 1 week in advance of putting boxes out (by Oct 20th). We need to get flyers approved by Student Government BEFORE we can post them around campus. I'll need volunteers to make this happen. Please contact me (Dr. Barbeau) or the Club Secretary (Jessica Mayo) about helping get the flyers done, approved, and posted on campus.

Here are Club members Reid Stephens and Cameron Leyers helping transport all of the supplies raised from the drive to the FAHS. The shelter was VERY happy to receive all of these things (see list below). After dropping off the supplies we got to stay for a while and visit with puppies and kitties. Fun!

All the supplies are taking up Dr. Barbeau's entire office!
