Pre-Vet Entrance Exams

DVM Program Entrance Exam
Some DVM programs require you complete the Graduate Records Exam (GRE) with a minimum score before being accepted. However, NOT ALL vet schools will require the GRE! In fact, over half of the vet schools in the US no longer require the GRE on an application. Do your homework on the schools you think you'd be applying to in order to determine if an entrance exam is required or not. Schools that require a GRE will have a deadline for when your scores should be received. Do you know where and when you can take the GRE? If not, find out. You can go to FMU's Office of Counseling and Testing to find out about the GRE, and even how to study and practice for it! It is not advised to go in and take the GRE cold, without studying or practice. Those who budget time to study for it tend to do better.
