List of Veterinary Programs (Last updated August, 2024)
**NOTE** This page is meant for general assistance when considering Vet Schools. When you are thinking of preparing to apply for a Vet School, it is YOUR responsibility to check with your advisor AND look research the program to see if any requirements have changed.

Click HERE for a PDF of the "How to Apply to Vet School" PowerPoint, created by Pre-Vet club vice-president (Bailey Carnes) and Secretary (Samantha Camlin).

Note that the majority of Vet Schools in the US use the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS) for submission of applications and for letters of recommendation. VMCAS, established by the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAMC), is a centralized application service which provides for the collection, processing, verification, and distribution of applicant data to participating colleges. VMCAS is NOT involved in the admissions decisions - as those decisions are made by each College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to completing the VMCAS form by its deadline (typically this is Sep 15th), each Vet Program might have supplemental application forms with their own specified deadline, so carefully research each program's admissions procedures and requirements to know what is due and when. Where it was obviously stated and easy to find on their webpage, I've indicated below if a supplemental application is needed. HOWEVER, YOU must carefully research each school's application requirements to be sure whether or not one is needed. When you take the GRE entrance exam (if required by the program), make sure to know the institutional code number to which the GRE scores must be sent!

For the 2022-2023 cycle the VMCAS deadline is Sep 15th

VMCAS opens typically in May.
Often the deadline to submit the GRE can be earlier than the application deadline. Make sure YOU check! Make sure to go to each University's webpage to find their most up-to-date pre-requisite course requirements for their program! These can change from year to year. Additionally, contact their admissions office and speak with someone, in case the webpage information is outdated. The minimum GPA for applicants posted on most websites is ALWAYS much lower than the average GPA of applicants typically accepted. Some sites post average GPAs of the previous or current years applicant pool. USE THIS is your guideline!
