Quiz Format:

Each quiz will be based on the previous week's laboratory concepts, vocabulary, and results, and also on the vocabulary for the upcoming laboratory. The quiz will include 15 questions: multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching, and maybe a short answer question. Yes, spelling will count!

Lab Reports: There will be two lab reports assigned this semester. See the lab website for details on how to write lab reports. Also, no AI generated reports will be allowed. Write lab reports in your own words. Lab reports must include a citation to the lab manual. Click HERE for guidelines on writing lab reports, including an example lab report.

Things to remember to do well in this lab:
• If you are having a hard time with the material presented in lab, please come to see me. I'm more than happy to help you.
Keep up with the reading material for lab. If you come to lab prepared each week, it will go faster and more smoothly.
Come to lab ON TIME and PARTICIPATE.

Rules and Regulation of the lab course:
Cheating WILL NOT be tolerated. Pay attention, keep up with the reading, review your notes regularly, and study appropriately for each quiz. Cheating includes plagiarism on lab reports. Plagiarism is defined as copying large sections of writing from a source without providing a citation for that source. Plagiarism also includes students who turn in exact copies of the same report. It is absolutely fine to work with other students on your writing assignment, but you MUST change the writing so that it is not the same as another student's report. Lastly, plagiarism includes using AI (artificial intelligence) generated text in your assignment. There are websites that instructors can use to tell if your writing is AI-generated. Just don't do it. If you are caught cheating it will result in an automatic zero. It will also be my prerogative to report you to the academic affairs committee for formal reprimand.

Academic Honesty: In accord with the FMU Student Handbook guidelines, any evidence of cheating or plagiarism will result in the loss of all points on that exam or assignment and appropriate disciplinary action, and may result in suspension or expulsion from Francis Marion University.
